The International Social Tourism Organisation (ISTO) is a non-profit organisation created in 1963.
ISTO has a double mission: Encouraging the development of tourism for all. Promoting and supporting the different forms of tourism that benefit people, communities and the development of local areas, and relate to responsible, solidarity, fair or community tourism.

- +150 members worldwide from public and private organisations in more than 40 countries.
- +Our members represent more than 100 million overnight stays.
Act as the main source of information for European and international organisations on regenerative, social, inclusive and accessible tourism for all. Deliver evidence-based information and recommendations allowing knowledge-based policymaking. ISTO can generate relevant information through its European and international network: -

ISTO's core values are aligned with the SDGs. We will generate and gather qualitative and quantitative information about tourism for all. This will shape international standardized indicators aligned with the SDGs that do not currently exist. Through the Observatory it will be possible to identify best practices that can be scalable and replicable by the tourism sector.
European Tourism Forum 2022 & World Tourism Forum 2023
The 20th. European Tourism Forum, co-organised with the OSA Digital Travel Services Ltd., and the Malta Tourism Authority / Ministry for Tourism (optional), will take place in a virtual or physical format in Malta on 22 October 2022.
